For over 40 years, the Wednesday Club has been a warm and welcoming space for older people in our community \u2014 a place where joy is shared, friendships are formed, and no one feels forgotten. Each week, we open our doors to over 50 elderly individuals, offering a full day of companionship, hot meals, gentle activities, entertainment, and transport \u2014 all completely free of charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From music therapy and dancing to bingo, quizzes, and shared lunches, our members leave each session feeling uplifted, valued, and part of something meaningful. Many arrive planning to stay for just an hour, but soon realise they\u2019ve found a second home \u2014 and stay the entire day. Our work doesn\u2019t end there; we also provide befriending services, family support, and intergenerational programmes that bring nursery and secondary school students into our sessions, creating powerful moments of shared learning and joy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

None of this would be possible without the incredible generosity of our supporters. We are proud to say that the Wednesday Club operates entirely thanks to donations and grant funding. Our biggest champions \u2014 The Rothschild Foundation, Heart of Bucks Foundation, and The National Lottery Community Fund \u2014 have been instrumental in helping us grow, adapt, and continue delivering vital services, especially in the aftermath of COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To them \u2014 and to every individual, organisation, and volunteer who believes in what we do \u2014 we say a heartfelt thank you. You are not just funding a project; you are changing lives, restoring dignity, and bringing light into the lives of so many.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together, we are proving that ageing can be joyful \u2014 and no one should face it alone.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
