At the Wednesday Club, we’re all about making life brighter for older adults through fun, friendship, and meaningful activities. With a year-round programme of 48 weekly sessions — each lasting around five hours — there’s always something to look forward to.

Our Activities

Our day is divided into three parts: a morning session, lunchtime, and an afternoon session.

Morning Session (10:00 – 12:00):
We begin with uplifting activities such as gentle yoga, quizzes, and other engaging games to get everyone moving, chatting, and smiling.

Lunchtime (12:00 – 13:00):
We share a delicious hot meal, freshly cooked on-site. It’s a warm, welcoming time to relax, socialise, and enjoy good food together.

Afternoon Session (13:00 – 15:00):
The afternoons are filled with creativity and entertainment — live music, crafts, visits from guest speakers, and more. There’s always something fun and inspiring happening!

In addition to our daily structure, we also enjoy:

  • Entertainment from local schools and talented performers

  • Music therapy

  • Bingo, quizzes, and board games

  • Crafting sessions

  • Light physical activity, including dancing

Exercise at The Wednesday Club

Every activity is designed to bring people together, spark conversation, and gently encourage both the body and mind. Most importantly, we make sure everything is enjoyable and gives our members a real sense of achievement.

Our goal is simple: to help older adults stay healthy, independent, and socially connected — while reducing loneliness and making every Wednesday a day to smile about.
